Bruce Lee – The young Boy

Bruce Lee, the martial arts wonder who became a legend was born on 27th November 1940 in San Francisco, California to parents who had migrated from mainland China. He was born n the year of the Dragon coincidentally in the hour of the dragon, and that's how he came to be referred to as Dragon in his appearances in all his movies.

Bruce started early in films when he made his first appearance in a movie called Golden Gate Girl when he was barely three months old. His father was a martial arts expert and he received all his training under his father's expert guidance. Fate caused the family to relocate back to Hong Kong where he did his schooling and soon he was back in films, this time at age four. Later his talent for acting was recognised by a director who made him act in his film at age six. By the time he graduated from high school, he had completed over twenty films.

He was often involved in gang warfare and dance competitions when he was young and a teenager. He was packed and sent off to the United States to complete his high school. While he attended prestigious high schools in Hong Kong like the La Salle College and St. Francis Xavier's College in the latter 50s he began to take special interest in philosophy. After high school, he studied at the University of Washington in philosophy but he never completed his studies as he returned to San Francisco and Hollywood where filmdom beckoned him with open arms. After that, there was no looking back for the young man, who made his way to stardom capturing the hearts of millions of fans.
